Hi,
I've successfully installed locked area lite and everything is good. But how do my members logout after usage?
Regards,

When the user closes their web browser the login details are removed from the browser cache. When they re-open their browser and return to the web site they will be required to login again.

Thanks for the reply. It works for internet explorer. But if the browser is firefox, I'm still able to enter after closing and re-launching the browser.
Is there a resolution for this? Can I manually add a logout button?
Thanks.

Firefox will behave in the same way. It may be that the browser is not completely 'shutting down' or a hidden window is left running for some reason. I use Firefox myself and in regards to the 'log-out' function, it behave's the same as Internet Explorer.
Search the internet for '.htaccess logout' and you will find a number of suggested methods. However, we have found none reliable enough to speak of and personally, I prefer the current method.

I know this is an old post, but since I was recently having the same issue I thought I'd chime in - if only to help anyone else reading this thread.
Today's browsers have the ability to open multiple TABS so closing the tab in which Locked Area resides won't clear the cache. You need to close all the tabs and its main window to clear the cache.
Hope that makes sense.
